Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to service, repair and install Fire, Security & Access Control systems, including CCTV systems for our customer base, which includes municipal, residential and commercial accounts. In addition the technician should positively represent the company in the community.

Job Requirements:

The incumbent should have Level 2 or Level 3 Nicet Certifications; and past experience in low voltage wiring and excellent customer relations’ skills. Experience with the installation of CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion, and fire systems, including integrated applications, is strongly desired but not required. A high school diploma or GED, good communication and customer service skills, basic computer experience, electrical experience are needed. IT and networking experience helpful. A clean driving record is required. Current BASA/FASA certification desired, but not required.

This position is designed to install new security and fire systems and add new equipment to existing security systems. The incumbent must also prepare paperwork for programming of new and existing security systems. In addition the installer should positively represent the company in the community.

Job Requirements:

  • Responsible for responding to alarms in the prescribed manner.
  • Maintain accurate accounts of events for alarm activation, dispatch, and other general activity.
  • Troubleshoot system problems with clients to restore operation to the clients satisfaction.
  • Dispatch service technicians for after hours repair of systems.
  • Attend operators meetings and any scheduled training events.
  • Work closely with technicians and installers during service calls and new account setups.
  • Run and process client reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Assist in general clerical work and other miscellaneous duties.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Make site visits to existing customers to assess their needs and requirements.
  • Make cold-calls to businesses within assigned territories to obtain information about gatekeepers and decision-makers for that business.
  • Make calls to establish appointments for presenting information about company products and services.
  • Develop client relationships and make presentations using our presentation tools to communicate to the client the unique products and services available only through our company.
  • Develop specific, tailored proposals based on clients needs and present the proposals to the client using established pricing methods approved by management.
  • Follow-up with the client to close the sale, sign the Client Agreement, Collect the agreed revenues, and schedule the installation of the proposed system.
  • Complete the sale by demonstrating the system to the client and collecting any remaining revenues (if necessary).
  • Maintain contact with existing clients to further develop relationships and to ensure on-going support after the sale.
Reporting Relationships:

This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager. Other Sales Consultants, Install Technicians and Service Technicians are peers. No other positions report to the Sales Consultant position..

This position will work with other Service Desk Coordinators and will be involved with scheduling Installation jobs in a fast paced environment. Appointment scheduling with clients will require strong coordination and follow-up skills. Dispatch service technicians that service and repair electronic security systems, access control, CCTV, and fire systems. Monitor service issues, respond to inquiries on the telephone, communicate with technicians, and survey incoming and outgoing service tickets to ensure single ticket dispatching and completion of service tickets within a timely manner. Characteristics include persistence, team player, self-motivation and hard working.
